Hey, I’m Shahid

I’m a Principal Software Architect and systems engineer who enjoys building real-world distributed systems, low‑latency databases, and developer tooling.

By day, I work on production systems and data platforms; outside of work, I:

• Write long‑form technical articles on software engineering, distributed systems, and AI
• Experiment with agents, LLMs, and intelligent tooling
• Build and contribute to projects like Redis‑compatible KV stores, AI answer engines, and developer utilities

This site is my software engineering and personal blog — a place to document how things actually work in practice, from high‑level design to code and experiments you can run yourself.
